Structural Design Engineering Intern

This is a part-time or full-time remote position for a Structural Design Engineering Intern. The right candidate would be available to work part-time during the school year and full time when schedule allows. In this role, you will assist in designing residential and commercial structures, create detailed technical drawings using Revit, and collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop innovative solutions for structural challenges. You will also contribute to the analysis and assessment of projects, supporting the team in meeting local environmental and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently earned a degree in Architectural Engineering or a related field

  • Strong skills in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools

  • Ability to analyze structural requirements and collaborate on technical solutions

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to innovative design challenges

  • Self-motivated with a desire to continuously learn

  • Basic knowledge of seismic and snow load criteria is a plus

  • Experience with Revit is a plus

Structural Design Engineer - Mid Level

This is a full-time remote role for a goal-driven Structural Design Engineer that will be responsible for analysis and design of structural components and systems, primarily for high-end residential homes in the Truckee/Lake Tahoe area. The role entails structural modeling in Revit, as well as producing detailed drawings, specifications, and reports. The Structural Design Engineer will also collaborate with other engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure projects meet safety, design, construction, and quality standards.

 

Qualifications

 

  • 4-10 years of experience in residential civil and/or structural engineering

  • BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or willingness to obtain

  • Experience with seismic engineering, snow load design, & wood framing

  • Self-motivated self-starter

  • Willingness to work independently and remotely as part of a distributed team

  • Tech savvy and willing to communicate regularly through Zoom/Google Meet

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Professional demeanor and ability to understand opposing viewpoints

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently

  • Experience with Revit and Microsoft Office programs

Revit Drafter/Modeler

This is a part-time or full-time remote role for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Revit Drafter. As a Revit Drafter, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of various architectural and structural engineering projects, with potential opportunity for advancement into an engineering position. You will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings and models using Autodesk Revit software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of architectural and/or engineering principles and advanced drafting skills.   • 3+ years of experience in drafting experience in Revit

  • Self-motivated with a desire to continuously learn

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently

  • Proficient with modern software

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Coursework in architecture and/or engineering is a plus
